Remington Model 1890 in .44-40 caliber, single action frontier revolver, 5 ½” barrel, traces of blue finish, ivory grips, drilled for lanyard ring in butt which is missing, serial number 1071. The metal surfaces show slight traces of original blue finish with some light beginning erosion and pinprick pitting that is minimal. The barrel address and caliber markings are sharp and metal is generally crisp overall and the action is good also the bore is good. The front sight has been slimed slightly and the correct style ejector rod head and cylinder pin are retained. The pistol is fitted with ivory grips that show some age but are probably from another Remington revolver of the same period. A decent frontier era Model 1890. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
