One of only around 2000 produced from 1891 to 1894, the Model 1890 was the successor to the Model 1875, intended to go head to head against Colt's Single Action Army revolver. Blade and notch sights, with "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." on top of the barrel and "44 C.F.W." on the left side of the frame just below the cylinder. Grips are "RA" monogrammed checkered hard rubber, secured to the gun with a metal spike, and a lanyard swivel is present on the butt.
BBL: 7 1/2 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 44-40
Finish: nickel
Grips: hard rubber
Serial Number: 75
Condition: Very fine, showing 85% plus of the original nickel finish, with a patch of pitting on the left rear of the frame, flaking and dings on the underside muzzle end of the barrel and high edge wear. A chip is absent from the left grip panel, with a crack in the right and mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent. A fine example of a very scarce and desirable Remington
