Remington Model 1890 SA revolver in .44-40 caliber, 7 ½” barrel, retaining the majority of its original and scarce blue finish with hard rubber grips, Serial #1812. There is loss of finish due to flaking with impeccable and crisp metal surfaces. Razor sharp markings and address with most original case colors and the hammer and loading gate. The bright bore with blue still showing on the front of the cylinder and inside of thechambers showing little to almost no use. The grips are very good plus and would have been fine except for a chip from the bottom right and loss of color fading to natural Gutta Percha. The front sight has beenslimmed very slightly at the top edge. A strong 8 ½ to 9 on a scale of 1-10 and very difficult to improve on a blued, Frontier Remington revolver. Est.: $9,000-$18,000. (Antique).
