Remington Model 1875 single action revolver in .44-40 caliber with 7 ½” barrel showing traces of original blue finish with wood grips, serial number 734 and no lanyard ring in butt. The metal surfaces show some light to moderate pitting with some heavier pitting on the left edge of the barrel, and on web of ejector rod housing that has been nicely cleaned and restored on the left side. The right side of the frame also shows pitting. The grips are good with some normal marks, aging, and oil staining. The front sight is German silver and is its full original height. The ejector rod and cylinder pin are original to the period. The hammer shows considerable original case hardening and the bore is still very bright. A good example of an 1875 that had some pitting in the metal and was slightly restored and cleaned professionally. Est.: $1,500 -$3,000.
