Remington Model 1875 Single Action Revolver, #330, .44-40 cal., 7.5" round barrel, nickel finish, two-piece walnut grips, fixed blade front sight, notched rear sight, with lanyard ring. Barrel address reads from breech to muzzle "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y. U.S.A." Serial number located on left side of the grip frame. The Remington Model 1875 was manufactured circa 1875-1889, with approx. 25,000-30,000 produced. Overall condition of this revolver is fine, displaying approx. 70%-75% factory nickel finish, with patina and frosted oxidation to the bare metal. Factory markings are clear. There is a noticeable flat spot to the left side of the muzzle, leaving it misshapen. Grips show moderate age and handling wear, with pleasing grain patterns. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore with general mild erosion, clearly visible rifling rates good overall. Est.: $1,800-$2,400. (Antique) (Michael Strietbeck Collection)
