Approximately 25,000 Model 1875s were manufactured between 1875 and 1889. Marked "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A." on top of the barrel. The serial number is marked on the left side of the grip frame under the grip. "44" is stamped on the front flat of the frame on the left side. Pinched blade front sight and notch rear sight. Fitted with two piece smooth ivory grips. Seldom are these Remington Model 1875s found in blue finish as many were nickel plated.

Gauge: 44 CF

Condition: Very good. The revolver retains strong scattered traces of original blue finish in the protected areas and on the cylinder flutes with some minor pitting and spotting. There is a series of notches on the back strap. The hammer retains some flashes of original case colors. The undersize replacement grips are good with some hairline age cracks on the bottoms and some minor scratches with a minor chip missing on the bottom of the right grip panel and a small chip missing from the left panel near the frame. The ivory has aged to a yellow color with attractive grain pattern. Mechanically fine.
