Remington Model 1858 New Model revolver, 44 percussion cal., nicely antique period scroll and floral engraved; blued finish, select varnished oversized custom walnut grips, oversized brass shark fin type rear sight, #114699. The revolvershows approx. 60%-70% original blue drifting to brown with good sharp edges and address and appears to have been cut through the blue finish; the grips are fine to excellent; the hammer shows most of the case hardening; the action good, thebore excellent; an attractive pistol that was ornamented later in the 19th or early 20th century in order to market it and sell it.
