Available for bidding in this lot is a Remington Model 14R pump action carbine, chambered in .32 REM. This carbine was produced between 1913 - 1934 by John Pedersen in order to compete with the Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action. The carbine Features a short 18" barrel, Marbles bead ramp front sight, Marbles step-adjustable rear sight, spiral magazine, blue'd barrel and receiver, and walnut butt stock and grip. The spiral magazine was an innovative concept to prevent bullet tips from contacting the primer of the cartridge in front of them. This firearm is stamped on the front of the magazine with "PATD.NOV.6,1912". The front sight is stamped "Marble NO. 6" while the rear sight is marked "Marble's - Gladstone MICH, U.S.A.". Behind the rear sight, marked on the barrel, states the following; "Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge CO. - Remington Works ILION. NEW YORK. U.S.A - Pedersen's PAT OCT 12, 09. JULY 5, 10. NOV 19, 12. - REMINGTON Trade Mark - .32 REM". The receiver is stamped on the left side with "REM - UMC, U, .32 REM" as well, on the underside with "C - 29536" and behind the trigger guard with "REMINGTON UMC Trademark". Overall, this firearm is in good condition especially for its age, showing 90% of the blue finish, and minor handling marks on the stock and grip.
