Remington Lee Model 1899 bolt action sporting rifle in 30-40 Navy caliber showing 28 ½” round barrel serial number 75450. The rifle remains in good to very good original condition showing traces of original blue drifting to a gray brown patina with some scattered light to moderate erosion and pitting mostly on the top of the barrel. The markings are good and sharp. The stock is good to very good with crisp checkering in the area of the pistol grip. The stock shows some minor scratches, dings, mars and a light over coating of varnish or shellac but no sanding. The original butt plate is retained. The action is good, the bore is fair to good and looks as if it may clean. A 3 groove smokeless era original mag. is in included. Est.: $600-$1200
