Remington Hepburn No.3 rifle, .38 centerfire rifle (probably .38-50), 30” half round half octagon medium weight barrel, blue and case hardened finish, standard walnut stocks with checkered buttstock, serial #3342, referFlayderman 5E-105. The barrel shows 80-90% original blue with some slight erosion and slight drifting to patina, some minor spotting, normal aging. The frame shows 60-80% case hardening that is dulling andtoning with some light erosion just starting. The forend cap shows traces of case hardening with some erosion and pinprick pitting just starting there also. The buttplate is mostly drifted to patina withtraces of case hardening. The stocks are very good plus with some slight scratches, sharp checkering on the buttstock, a few minor dings, mars, one or two small gouges. The action is tight, markings sharp, bore stillbright. The rifling is at least very good plus. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
