S/N 414. Remington Falling Block carbine wrapped in rawhide with brass tacks throughout, .30 caliber , 20.5 " round barrel. Heavy wear is noticeable on metal and wooden pieces that are not wrapped in the rawhide. Front blade sight is missing as is the butt-plate. This is common a Native guns as it was used to scrap buffalo hides. The action functions correctly and bore is fair with visible rifling noted. The butt-stock is loose around the receiver and needs to be handled with extreme care. Discoloration and cracking is noted on some areas of the rawhide but is otherwise in good condition. A great example of a Native gun.
