Remington Factory Engraved Model 8F Premier Grade Semi-Automatic Rifle, #10994, .35 Rem. cal., 22'' barrel, scroll engraving with game scenes to both sides and top of frame, light treatment to breech of barrel in area behind rear sight, blue finish, select factory checkered straight grip walnut stock and forend, bright front and Marbles peep sight at tang. Receiver, triggerguard and magazine group with approx. 85% coverage. Mfg'd 1907, at which time it cost approx. $75. By 1917 the price had jumped another $50, and in 1936, the last year it was produced, $265. When originally produced, this rifle was known as a Remington Model 8 No. 6 Grade, and by 1915 had become known as the 8F or Premier Grade. This is the finest pre-WWI semi-automatic rifle made in America up until that time. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 98%+ original factory blue to frame. Barrel jacket shows very minor signs of restoration. Stock with mild flattening to checks and some pressure dings, with some darkening at contact to metal points. Action is crisp, bore is excellent.
