Remington-Beals Army Model percussion revolver, .44 cal., 8” octagon barrel, wood grips, #627 in overall very good condition showing a pleasing even brown patina on metal surfaces, good bore, crisp action, good markings and very good grips;no visible inspector markings or cartouche which is common per Flayderman’s given the pressure to get the guns delivered and due to production problems at the factory (an estimated 1,900 total produced between 1861 and 1862); accompanied by atwo piece cardboard box with end label “REMINGTON BEAL’S PATENT ARMY REVOLVER” containing an iron bullet mold and U.M.C. cap tin; a hard-to-find Model in any condition and this is a nice, un-molested one!
