Remington-Beals Army Model percussion revolver, .44 cal., 8” barrel, wood grips, #1144 in overall very good condition with very scarce martial inspections as follows: c and P on left barrel flat at breech, left side of frame at breech, oncylinder between two cylinder stops, a c on the brass trigger guard behind the securing screw, a c on the bottom barrel flat behind the serial number, a C on the bottom of each grip and a partially visible inspector’s cartouche on theleft grip; the right grip shows a near fully visible cartouche with the initials W.A.T. The gun displays an overall grey patina with good action and markings, the bore may clean to very good and the grips are in very good condition. Rarely isthis limited production Model (approx. 1,900 manufactured) found with martial inspections, particularly with grips displaying visible cartouches; accompanied by a two piece cardboard box with end label “REMINGTON BEAL’S PATNET ARMYREVOLVER”, an iron bullet mold and a J. Goldmark’s cap tin. (Antique). Est.: $3,000-$6,000.
