Remington Beal’s single shot rifle, .32 cal., 28” half round/half octagon barrel, interesting sliding barrel mechanism, wood butt stock, #688. This rare Remington long arm is in overall good condition showing what appears to be an oldre-blue over the frame, barrel, lever and with a re-nickeled butt plate; good action, visible markings on barrel, dark bore, re-finished wood stock that shows an older repair/replacement of a section of the left side of the stock, approx. 6”X 2”. Less than 800 of these rifles were manufactured between 1866 and 1888. Est.: $300-$500.
