Remington .41 caliber over/under derringer, type-1, made without extractor and shows side barrel addresses, nickel finish, rosewood grips, serial #1529. Reads “Elliot’s Patent, December 12th, 1866 address” (left), “E.Remington & Sons” (right). The pistol remains in very good condition showing 40-60% nickel, areas where lifting have gone to a natural patina with no polishing. The address edges are fairly sharp, the rosewood gripsare very good. The hinge is secure with no cracks, one screw slightly marred. The hammer shows some good colors, the bores are fair to good. A very respectable early Remington with no ejector. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
