Remington 1867 Navy Rolling Block pistol, .50 cal., 7” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grip and fore stock, #NVSN. This gun is in overall fair + condition showing a grey patina on metal surfaces with scattered erosion and pitting; correct P and FCW inspections on right side of frame, I E.B. with an anchor on the top of the barrel at the breech, surprisingly good bore, good action, replaced fore end; grip is well-wornwith lots of knackering damage to the butt area from using the gun as a tack driver; an interesting variation of which little is really known; some scholars believe these guns were modified from the Model 1865 andmostly accepted by the Navy on government contract. Est.: $350-$700.
