This is a beautiful etching, after Rembrandt, by master engraver Amand Durand. Titled "JUPITER AND ANTIOPE" - the larger plate (year of original 1659). Signed and dated in the plate. This piece is in excellent condition, and has never been framed. Measurements: image size is 6.5" x 8.5" on 13" x 15" Somerset paper. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Ref. # 203 according to the British Catalogue, circa 1797, is a hand pulled-ETCHING from the AUTHENTIC & Original copper Rembrandt plates by Armand-Durand (1831-1905) overseen by Art World Industries, inc.
