This large size painting from the collection of the magician Mr. Cox within the project ‘Magic in Art’ was created by artist Reinhard Zado around 1990. It depicts a juggler who is performing his trick at a round table in front of a group of people who are curiously observing the outcome. The artist once said about his paintings ‘If Cox asked me, what magic I would perform if I could! What a question! Can’t he see that I perform magic just like he does, for the eyes, two-dimensional. The painting is signed upper right ‘Reinhard Zado’ and is in a good condition showing common signs of age and wear. The frame shows few traces of use as well. The stretcher frame measures 200 x 98 cm. The framed dimensions are 205 x 105 cm.





Reinhard Zado (born 1951)

The artist Reinhard Zado is from Much nearby Cologne. After he trained as a typesetter he went to study at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. A number of exhibitions followed, for example at the Art Association Marburg, the Museum Siegburg and at the Art Association Rotenburg. In 1979, he received the Rhein-Sieg-Krieg advancement award.
