Condition: Very fine. The hilt has 70-80% of the gold-plated finish intact. The fish-skin grip wrap is in fine condition with light handling wear. The blade is bright with some scattered age spotting and light pitting near the tip. The scabbard body has an even-dark brown patina and the brass mounts retain about 20% of the gold-plated finish. There are several minor dents in the drag. This is a very good example of a regulation pattern Model 1850 Staff and Field Officer's sword.
