Registered SENDRA Corp. XM15A1 Fully Automatic Carbine with ATF papers
This is a very nice example of a XM15A1 fully automatic carbine that is a copy of the Colt M16A1 (SP-1) Carbine. These were the original forerunner of the current M4 carbine that is being used by the military today. These were basically a standard rifle action that was fitted with a short 16 inch barrel with a sliding collapsible butt stock, to provide a short compact weapon allowing greater movement in and out of vehicles and helicopters. The upper receiver is fitted with the M16A1 style forward assist with the later style round push button with the two position flip rear sight and the standard post front sight. It has the later pattern lower receiver with the raised rib around the magazine catch with the reinforced rear section of the receiver. The left side of the magazine well is marked "CAL. 5.56mm/XM15A1/SER.02016" with the left side of the receiver marked "SENDRA CORP./BARRINGTON IL.". The model is fitted with a slightly heavier (medium weight) barrel under the round ribbed hand guards with the M16A1 style flashider and the two position sliding butt stock. It is complete with one Center Industries 30 round magazine.
BBL: 16 inch round
Stock: black plastic
Gauge: 223
Finish: black anodize/parkerize
Grips: black plastic
Serial Number: 02016

Very fine overall with 98% of the black anodized/parkerized finish overall with wear on the edges and high spots, with the upper receiver having been repainted gray, with clear, sharp markings. The carbine looks like it has been fired but not abused, however the gas key on top of the bolt carrier needs to be tightened. This is a fully automatic carbine with a ATF transfer tax stamp. Class III weapon.
