Contract, signed “Reginald M. Jackson,” six pages on three adjoining sheets, 8.5 x 11, February 25, 1971. American League uniform player's contract in which Reggie Jackson agrees to render "skilled services as a baseball player during the year 1971" for the Oakland Athletics, for a salary of $43,000. Signed at the conclusion in ballpoint by Reggie Jackson, American League President Joe Cronin, and Oakland owner Charles O. Finley. The original salary of "$42,500" has been struck through and changed to "$43,000," an emendation initialed by both Jackson and Finley. In fine condition. In his fifth year as a Major Leaguer, Jackson would slug 32 home runs and make his second All-Star appearance in 1971, leading the Oakland A's to their first playoff appearance.
