Red Dust (MGM, 1932). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Clark Gable runs a rubber plantation and Jean Harlow plays a working girl down on her luck in this electrifying drama that cast these two stars together for the first time. The result was explosive and raised eyebrows across America for Harlow's decadent and suggestive actions. This is one of the best pictures of pre-Code Hollywood and is legendary in the history of the cinema. This poster has been restored and had a four inch by three inch piece of paper missing in the upper left border extending into the brown below Gable's name and just into the yellow stripe next to the border. There was also paper missing along the left side of the poster encompassing an area approximately 19 inches by 2.5 inches. The red and brown area next to Harlow's head was airbrushed to blend the missing paper. The Harlow image has very little paint. There was touch-up to the foldlines. The main image of the two stars is almost untouched and the restoration work was done well. Very Good+ on Linen.
