Locke wrote articles under his pseudonym Petroleum V. Nasby, a detestable character who championed the Confederate cause writing in semi-literate spelling in such a way as to rally support for the Union. After the War, Nasby was willing to do anything to get a Postmaster appointment which meant to him a paying government job with no work. Overall, in fine condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
