Rebecca (United Artists, 1940). (2) Lobby Cards (11 X Rebecca (United Artists, 1940).
Rebecca (United Artists, 1940). Lobby Cards (2) (11" X 14"). Two of the major confrontations in Alfred Hitchcock's "Rebecca" are depicted on these cards. In the classic "Boathouse" scene, Laurence Olivier finally tells Joan Fontaine, that he didn't love Rebecca, he loathed her. This card has some minor chipping on the right corners and a slight crease to the lower left corner. In the other scene, Joan Fontaine wears a dress that Rebecca had worn and shocks Olivier to his soul, prompting him to scream at her. This card, too, has light chipping to the corners and many small tears to the borders. There is also a tiny chip out of the left border. The film won the Oscar for Best Picture and nominations went to Hitchcock, Olivier, Fontaine and Judith Anderson. Both cards have some very slight fading. Very Good/Fine.
