<td width="100%">
Wonderful old cardboard, cigar-size box containing--and advertising--"Raymond's Pectoral Plaster. The Modern Remedy For Coughs Especially Whooping Cough." It is covered in paper. The original seal is partly on the box, and inside there are 6 plasters of the original 24 it once contained. Each plaster is wrapped in a folded paper with directions for using for "whooping cough, hoarseness, bronchitis, spasmodic asthsma, colds, on chest, lumbago, sciatica & neuralgia. It acts much quicker than internal remedies without deranging the stomach." The directions are printed in German, Swedish (or Danish?), French, and Spanish (or Italian?). The plasters are in mint condition, each covered in printed muslin. On the muslin is a picture of a miserable-looking boy holding his chest, and another, smiling, with his shirt open showing a plaster stuck to his chest. The image on the the box top is also on the inside of the lid. On the bottom, in pencil, is written, "PA each 25 cents," which I take to mean, "price at 25 cents each." The box is in excellent condition, showing just a little wear on the paper at the edges, but the top is dirty. I will leave it for the new owner to clean or not.
