French novelist and poet (1903–1923) associated with the Modernists who died of tuberculosis at age 20. Very rare ALS in French, one page, 8.25 x 10.5, no date. Letter to publisher Florent Fels, authorizing the printing of two poems. In full (translated): "I enclose two poems: 'Que le coq agite sa crête' for the anthology published by Stock, and 'Le prisonnier des mers' for the magazine. If you want to publish the first in the magazine Action and the poem for the anthology, I don't see any problem. The article 'Irene' obliges me to think of her and you often." In fine condition. The last sentence references painter Irene Lagut, a lover of Picasso and Radiguet, making this an especially desirable and meaningful letter.
