The present painting is the work of a German artist who works under the pseudonym Ray-the-Artist since 2010. The work depicts a text passage from the well-known novel ‘Gantenbein‘ by the Swiss author Max Frisch. It refers to the central scene, when the anonymous narrator enters the flat of a woman, while pretending to be a blind person. The quotation is framed by two figures that are clearly related to the described situation. The work belongs to a series of paintings that Ray-the-Artist has executed with reference to Max Frisch.



The painting is in very good condition. It is signed and dated lower right ‘RAY 2014‘. The overall dimensions of the stretcher are 80 x 100 cm. (cbo)

Ray-the-Artist was born in 1969 in Northern Germany, today he lives and works in Bonn, Germany. He has shown his artwork in single exhibitions in Santiago de Chile, Michigan, London, Hamburg und Berlin. In recent years Ray has withdrawn from public shows and concentrated on painting by direct commission.
