The present painting is the work of a German artist who works under the pseudonym Ray-the-Artist since 2010. The work depicts a text passage from the well-known novel ‘Homo Faber‘ by the Swiss author Max Frisch. The hand-written quotation is accompanied by a delicate depiction of an airplane on the right side, as it plays a central role in the story. ‘Homo Faber’ is about a protagonist who finally decides to go on board of an airplane which is later obliged to make a forced landing. The narrator then experiences some fateful coincidences. The work belongs to a series of paintings which Ray-the-Artist has executed with reference to Max Frisch.
