One of the premier catchers of his day who caught a Major League-record four no-hitters in his career, including two in May 1914 and Charlie Robertson’s perfect game on April 30, 1922. Gold Hall of Fame plaque card signed and inscribed in ballpoint, “To Billie. Best Wishes. Ray Schalk. 2-12-69.” In fine condition, with a few specks of loss to the emulsion at the top border apparently from an initial attempt of a signature with a faulty writing implement, and the inscription and date in a different ink from the sentiment and signature.
