Ray Bradbury personally owned sheet music for a cantata incorporating the author's text, ''Christus Apollo: Cantata Celebrating the Eighth Day of Creation and the Promise of the Ninth''. Bradbury wrote ''Christus Apollo'' in 1969 and the California Chamber Symphony performed the cantata, setting music to Bradbury's text. This sheet music was penned by a J. Richard Laredo, who received permission to use the text. Cover page reads, ''J. Richard Laredo / Christus Apollo / text based mainly upon 'Christus Apollo, Cantata Celebrating the Eight Day of Creation and the Promise of the Ninth' by Bradbury / used with permission''. Verso describes the performance visually and in detail with a dedication to various professors at Illinois State University, where the composer presumably studied. Sheet music has notes hand-drawn with the narration of the cantata written below notes. 96pp. in total, front and verso, each sheet loose and unbound. Measures 11'' x 14.25''. Toning throughout, overall very good. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
