Lot of three items: 1) A 1909 typed letter from J.E. Kerr Stocks and Mines in San Francisco to H.F. Heitman in Savannah, GA, and signed by J.E. Kerr. The letter regards raising $20,000 in the "next three weeks, maybe sooner" for shares of stock in the Queen Regent to help with the company's development and to put it on a dividend basis. (3 pgs.) 2-3) Two forms for the Queen Regent Copper and Gold Company, one a Cash Application Form and the other an Installment Application Form. The land consisted of 17 claims on Copper Mountain and initially showed an aggregate of silver and gold at $42 per ton, which is an unlikely combination. J.E. Kerr had a history of unsuccessful promotions and was in the land of lessees in 1908. The company eventually became the Queen Regent Merger Mines co. [Ref: Copper Handbook, Vol. 10, 1911, pg 1440].
