Rare pair of factory-engraved Colt Single Action Army revolvers, .44-40 caliber, 4-3/4” barrels, royal blue and case hardened finish, factory bird’s head shaped grip with mounted with ivory in French style Colt case. Consecutive serial numbers “SA93032” and “SA93033”. The pair are excellent to mint condition and show no evidence of firing and are 99.9 to 100%. Original Colt casing also excellent. Factory letter states “B engraved by master engraver Dennis Kies. Shipped to Bangers Distributors, Birmingham, Alabama” Factory order number “3631”, and letter confirms features. Less than a dozen bird-head gripped Single Actions were factory engraved. Est: $7,000 - $14,000
