Rare and unusual color fine Persian-Pak Heriz-Serapi rug. 100% natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. Heriz rugs are known and valued for their artistic and colorful character. These rugs have their own very unique style and therefore are distinguishable from other styles. Where majority of Heriz-Serapi have red or rust background, this unusual piece has a rare and sought after light color background. Also, Heriz-Serapi in general have a coarse weave, however this lovely piece has an extremely fine weave. This captivating piece is masterfully hand woven, knot by knot, and has about 160 knots per square inch. It would take over three years to weave and create this piece. Size: 12 feet X 9 feet. Country of Origin: Pakistan.
