Rare and good quality 17th Century provincial silver seal top Spoon of well defined vase baluster style, bearing traces of gilding, prick engraved 1650 to stem, marked in bowl with the initials 'TR' conjoined and on the stem with a 'T' in a shield twice and an animal, Salisbury first half of 17th Century, maker Robert Tyte, (see Jackson's Silver and Gold Marks of England, Scotland and Ireland, published 1989 page 272) (see illustration)
