Rare and desirable Pedersen device with magazine, produced for the Model 1903 Mark I bolt action rifle that allowed the gun to use this semi-auto bolt insert to function with pistol cartridges and use a slot milled into the rifle’s receiver toact as an ejection port; markings include “U.S.A. 1918-MARK I 50902” and REMINGTON-BRIDGEPORT PEDERSEN’S PAT’S PENDING”; parkerized finish; some roughness to tip of firing cone; no metal carrying scabbard, tool or pouch included; from an old California bay area estate.
