Rare and desirable 7 shot Flintlock revolving pepperbox pistol signed “Bate, London” circa early 19th century. The pistol remains in good to very good condition with an unpolished natural patina with sharpengraving and name. The grips are very good, there are some small marks on the barrel and breech. There is a small chip from one end of the frizzen and just normal aging. There is one small piece of wood missing where thegrip meets the frame which is negligible. The barrels are numbered and proofed and the pistol measures 9-1/4” overall with 2-3/4” clustered barrels of approx 36 cal false rifled. A genuine and rare Flintlockpepperbox. From an old N.Y. collector’s estate. Est.;$4,000-$8,000.
