<td width="100%">
Classical Mahogany Game Table - perhaps south shore of Boston (Quincy or Weymouth Ma.) Certainly a wonderful example of a classical table from the Boston market circa 1820. This Classical Ormolu-Mounted and Part-Ebonized game table is constructed of mahogany with mahogany veneers. Having folded top with molded edge on cockbeaded conforming table resting on a circular veneered pedestal with die-stamped gilt brass lead-filled mounts all on a platform and four molded scrolled legs ending in brass hairy-paw feet on original casters. Although it apears to have a restored finish, this table is absolutely structurally unaltered and in a wonderful state of preservation. The base of this table is a statement in and of itself. There exists a slight taper to the top of each leg that shows the attention to detail of this cabinet maker. A rare find! Measures 37 wide by 29 high by 24 deep.
