Rare and Exceptional Documented Winchester Model 21 Deluxe Skeet Double Barrel Shotgun
Introduced by Winchester in 1931 the Model 21 was one of the companies finest efforts with regard to quality, reliability and strength. The model was introduced as a production line gun and moved to the custom shop in 1960, but it was in fact, a hand-built custom-made shotgun from the beginning. This Deluxe Skeet Grade shotgun was produced circa 1936 - 1959, featuring red and silver bead sights on the rib, with WS1/ WS2 chokes, 2 3/4 inch chambers and ejectors. Gauge and chamber markings on the left barrel, and U.S. patent numbers and model markings on the water table. The receiver is marked "DELUXE / SKEET" on the underside, and is equipped with a single selective trigger and tang mounted manual safety. Finely checkered fancy grain walnut stock, with a beavertail forearm and checkered bare butt. The shotgun is accompanied by a copy of a Cody Firearms Museum Records Office form verifying the serial number, gauge, barrel length, single trigger, ejectors (selective), manual safety, chokes, pistol grip stock with deluxe finish and checkered butt and pitch, pull, heel and comb drop dimensions.
