This is an example of a Nazi 38H holster manufactured by Julius Hirschberg Gesellschaft in 1944. The front of the flap is stamped "Brigadefhrer", an SS rank used by Nazis from 1932 and 1945 that was the equivalent to a Generalmajor . The front of the flap also has unofficial SS markings applied by the SS officer which are 5 circled "eagle/swastikas" and 2 circled "[SS runes] HZa/DU". The front of the holster body is stamped "jhg / 41" along with a circled eagle swastika. The closure strap is stamped with an "eagle/WaA286" proof and the inside of the holster has "SAUER 7,65" stamped in black ink. A magazine pouch is sewn to the front of the holster.
