For your consideration is a rare LeCoultre Atmos clock circa 1960-1980. This piece is a rectangular gilt brass mantel clock wound by barometric pressure changes. LeCoultre Atmos, Serial No. 229008 and indicates, "Fifteen 15 Jewels VXN" and "Switzerland Unadjusted" etched on the mechanic . Fine, rectangular, gilt brass and glass Atmos clock wound by barometric pressure changes. The metal is marked "LeCoutlre & Cie Metal Caliber 528-8 Swiss" on the bottom of the clock. This particular clock was used in Cardon Jewelry Co. store in Logan, Utah, and includes a pack of matches from the store and a collectors note indicating the origin of ownership. Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos Clock "Lives on Air." The clock self-winds and keeps time on temperature change, perpetually spinning the pendulum. First invented in 1928 by Swiss Jean-Leon Reutter and Jaeger LeCoultre. For the past 50 years it has been the official gift of the Swiss Confederation. This piece is in excellent condition with very few surface scratches on brass case and glass. The clock measures approximately 9" x 7 1/2" x 5 1/2"
