<B>Rare Union Case of the Washington Memorial in Richmond, Virginia.</B></I> 5" x 6.25". The case was designed by Colonel John T. Pickett to hold an electrotype copy of the Great Seal of the Confederacy (Krainik #4). The case now holds a trimmed cabinet photo of James Stephens Brown, Jr., taken in 1879, when he was a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy. Brown (1858-1946) served as mayor of Nashville, Tennessee between 1908 and 1909.
