For your consideration are two rare leather U.S. Calvary cartridge pouches circa 19th Century. The first pouch in this lot is a black leather rifle cartridge pouch with belt. The pouch features stamps on the back indicating "2B 1874 6C" and other hard to make out stamps. There is also a "IISK Meefisch" marking on a label indicating a possible user. Inside are 20 slots for rounds, and one round is still in pouch. This piece is in good condition overall considering age and use. The second item in this lot is an original brown leather ammo pouch marked "US" and is consistent with the style used in the Spanish American War by the U.S. Army. It is tool stamped "US" on the front, and "R.I.A. 1909 E.J." on the inside flap. As well as "Henry" marked on this inside canvas. The pouch features a leather construction, brass hardware, and canvas shell loops. The pouch shows condition consistent with age and use, missing the belt loop straps and leather seems coming apart. The brass shows some verdigris. The first pouch measures 6 3/4"W x 4"H x 2" thick, and the belt measuring approximately 40". The second pouch measures 6 1/8" W x 4 3/4" H x 1 5/8" thick.
