Manufactured circa 1876 to 1917 with about 3,000 produced. Single brass bead front sight on barrel marked with the two Stevens & Co. address/patent date information and the left side marked with the caliber ("38") over the serial number. Nickel plated brass frame with semi-circular side plate and the top of the frame grooved for sighting. Fitted with smooth grips. Barrel, stock mounting attachment, and both grips numbered to the gun. Complete with nickel plated brass shoulder stock numbered to the gun.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel retains over 90% thinning original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear. The frame retains 95% original nickel finish with most of the loss on the butt with some minor handling marks. The nickel finish has a slight frost appearance. The grips are fine with numerous minor dings and scratches. The stock retains 97% original nickel finish. Action needs work as hammer doesn't hold at the full cock position.
