5.5" x 9" booklet, 8pp, blue cloth with gilt lettering Act of Incorporation of Wells, Fargo & Company over light cardstock cover. This is in essence Wells, Fargo's charter to operate in Colorado. First part is transcription of Feb. 1866 act of incorporation for Holladay Overland Mail and Express Company passed by the Colorado legislature, notarized by Norman H. Meldrum in April 1879; plus supplemental act to change the name to Wells, Fargo and Company passed in November 1866, also notarized by Meldrum. Also manuscript page 8" x 12" listing Board of Directors and officers of Wells, Fargo for 1879, with both blind stamp of Wells, Fargo and ink stamp of James Heron, Secretary of Wells, Fargo. Scrap of paper taped to rear board that this was filed at the request of C. Novacovich, Wells, Fargo agent.
