Rare and unusual early 19th century 15 jewel key wind pocket watch with a white enamel dial, Roman numeral hour designations, subsidiary seconds, pointed moon shape hands, centigrade and Fahrenheit thermometer function, compass function in an engraved coin silver case, with a tiny flea bite out of the enamel at the 8 o'clock position of the thermometer-compass function and some damage to the enamel at the 4:30 position on the dial both the mentioned damages are very small and virtually invisible except under close scrutiny. The case measures 54mm and comes with the original key. This watch keeps great time and would be an envious conversation piece to any fine collection. Though the compass and thermometer functions are in working condition, they serve more to decoratively adorn the pocket watch than to help you find your way out of the forest and know the temperature every step of the way. Still this is one of the most unique and interesting pieces we have come across and will certainly be a nice conversation piece for any fine collection.
