For your consideration is this rare Shaw & Powell Camping Co. Yellowstone Park camping bowl. Founded in 1898 by Amos Shaw and John D. Powell, the Shaw & Powell Camping Company operated movable tent camps in Yellowstone National Park. By 1913, the company was granted permission to establish permanent camps throughout the park. This bowl would have been used at one of these permanent camp locations. By 1916, the company merged with Wylie Camps and closed many camps. The bowl was made by Burley & Company Hotel dept. of Chicago. This is a rare piece of collectible history of the Yellowstone National Park and is extremely sought after and highly collectible. The bowl shows good condition overall with some slight discoloration to the rim of the bowl in some areas, but no signs of obvious damage is present. The bowl measures 5 3/4" in diameter and 2 1/2" in height and weighs 1 pound and 6 ounces.
