This is a rare set of beautifully decorated Qing Dynasty Ceremonial Plates. These plates are made of fir and measure approx. 13 1/2". They were used during special occassions to offer food to the Buddha. These plates are oxblood color and have beautiful goldleaf paintings of birds on dogwood branches around the border. The center scene of one plate depicts vases filled with plants and flowers and an artist palette and brush, all in goldleaf. This plate is signed and dated by the artist. The other plate has a center scene of vases and flowers ,all in goldleaf. Both plates have the validation sticker.
