Salvage Mail Cover, King George V Period, 1936, Edward VII 1 Penny Stamp affixed later in the U.K., stamp affixed at origin (Lahore) was missing due to damage by water, “DAMAGED BY WATER” seal in a rectangular box. The cover was addressed to “Mrs. Aslaug, C/o Midlaud Frank | 36 Old Bond St. | London: W1 | England”, interestingly the address was not found in London and the address was struck-off, later the cover was redirected to the “Restauoranish | Schwazindien | Mondil Austria”. The cover was sent from Lahore, having a rectangular slogan dispatch cancellations of LAHORE which are underneath affixed Brown Paper Strip of G R & Crown with the note “Found open or damaged | And Officially secured”, in English and French also. London arrival cancellation “LONDON. W1 | 11.15 AM | 26 AU | 36 | 67” and delivery cancellation “LONDON. W1 | 3.45 PM | 26 AU | 36 | 8”, very good condition, Rare.
