Nellie Peck, a stern-wheel packet with wood hull was built in Brownsville, PA in 1871 and mastered by Captain Grant Marsh (1871-1872). During this time, Nellie Peck made 13 trips to Ft. Benton. Captain Marsh went onto commanding Far West, the boat that brought back the wounded and news of the Battle of Little Big Horn (Way 1983: 163, 342). 

Condition: Light scattered foxing; light edge wear.
